Star  table  runner  kits  are  here!! The  kits include the  cut strips,the  beautiful matching backing and the pattern...I  need  the  larger square  ruler  now before I  can start sewing & cutting...I have  a  ton of projects  to do so I have  plenty to keep me  busy.

 

Maxine,the  lady that  does the video on how to make  the  star and  owner  of "A Stitch In Time" Quilt shop sent  me  a  little tape  measure with the  stores  name  on it as  a  bonus - thanks  Maxine ! Can' t  wait to get started on my Christmas table  runner ,the   fabric on both kits  are just beautiful and they did a  great job on matching  the  fabric.

Do you have  one? I didn't think I did  either ,I was  looking  for  something else and  ran across one  in my Singer Bag with  the  screw drivers and other  feet- I put it on my singer and  away I went...I do like  it - a  lot!!

No  more  crinkled  up fabric on my  work - it goes right through  several  layers  and  looks  so much neater.

Don't you  just love  these Christmas  fabrics? I like  the  dark background  with the reds  &greens  of the  holiday ...so much fun to work with - I am picturing a big stocking  from the top one and maybe the  bottom one  too...I wanted to make stockings  last year but  couldn't  get off the  clutch purse kick ...lots  of  others  to choose from  at the fat quarter shop - and  no I do not  work there...just a   great place to shop and I  live  close enough that  sometimes  I get my packages in one  day - I love that ,no waiting !!

Ah  yes....my current favorite  table  runner - I am waiting  on my  two kits

I  will  most likely need  a  bigger  square  ruler  to work with on this  one-

I am waiting  to see  if I can use a  smaller ruler  but will have to see what I need.This  is  a  beauty of a  runner ...looks  complicated but the  lady in the  shop and  who made  the  video said it   was  easy & simple  to do.

Saturday Serging Fun

Making  a  few   things  today that I wanted  to do on my little  serger -
I  love  serging  - so much fun and  so fast - it's  been  almost a  year since I got  her and  she  is a  joy to have  - I have  made  so many napkins  - I guess  everyone I know will get napkins  for  Christmas  this  year ....and  maybe some  placemats  as  well...they made a great gift and  the store  bought  ones  are so expensive ,especially  the holiday ones.

Strata  Star Table  Runner- a  neat pattern  for sure - I found this  last night  while watching some sewing video tutorials ...I love  the look  of the  squares- I  checked out the  kits at the  link above and  I couldn't  make  up  my mind  between  the  Christmas  kit of the  pink one....it was  hard and  I couldn't  do it,so I ordered  both - they  said  it's  an  easy pattern to follow and  no binding to do - I would  love to have  the red and  green one  done  by  Christmas...it  kind of reminds me of the string quilts.
