So Much For Weekend Sewing

Well  I had  good intentions...I planned  to do some  practice  squares and find  some  nifty blogs  for inspiration...the  blogs  I did  find  but  thats  about as  far  as  I got....I have  several things  in the planning stages and I have  hope!!! Tomorrow  I want to show  you the two blogs I found  that  I love...so many wonderful things to make and so many ideas  from these two creative ladies!!

Sorting  and making  piles  again....seems  like  I do this  several times  a  week ...and  all of the pre cut  fabrics make  such a linty mess ....but I  sure  do like  the  pre cut layer  cakes and  5" squares & Jelly Rolls!!!

Playing  with some scraps  and cuttings...I am not a  good  cutter-I think  it's  because  my hands  are so weak - I made  some larger  squares  yesterday and  then I cut a  few  into smaller   blocks  - just to see  what I can  do - not  really making  anything  yet.

                                                            

Here  is  a  little  bag  made  from Asian fabric...this  is  one  of  my favorite fabrics  of all time  to sew  and  work with - so pretty !!

I have  never  actually made  a  quilt -but I keep looking at all the  pretty things  to make and  I  like  making  squares  ;maybe  a  baby quilt ? Sounds  good to me !

Still  thinking about  those  string  quilts....I  made about seven  blocks  but won't  use them  as  a  "quilt" ...my backing  wasn't so good and  so I sent  for  some of the  paper "backs" and  will start  fresh as  soon as  I can...using  white  as  your first strip looks  good I am  told..and  then all the  center  ones are  white and  they all line  up ...Nice !!
